The best run, just 30 minutes out of town, was the Upper Naranjo, know as the Chorro or Throat. The Chorro is a short, fun IV- easy V run that we all loved atAventuras H20. A unique aspect of this section of river is that is largely a bedrock run, unlike nearly all the other paddling in CR which generally is full of boulder gardens. The best days I spent in Quepos were early morning safety kayak work on the Chorro and board surfing at Playa Manuel Antonio in the afternoon. Here are some of the photos from a run in mid-December.
